THE Guild of Ilokano Writers Global- also known as Timpuyog Dagiti Mannurat nga Ilokano Gobal will hold on March 5 a writer's seminar that coincides with the launching of its second anthology of literary works by Ilokano writers, "Alie [n] ation.

The anthology, translated, edited, and with a critical introduction by Aurelio Sover Agcaoili, problematizes the Ilokano experience of "leaving one's place birth" and reclaims the energy that informs these writers of the diaspora.

One of the highlights of the festival is the staging of a play on men's issues, a play that cuts across issues on gender and domestic violence, "In the Name of the Father/Iti Nagan ti Ama." The members of the casts include Perlita Tapec Sadorra, Rose Daproza, Naty Cacho, Letty Manuel, Luz Bagaoisan, Bernard Collo, Jeffrey Acido, Calvin Rilveria, and Walter Luares.
