During the third week of this month, the whole Christendom will celebrate Lenten season and will commemorate two of the most significant events in the history of salvation as understood and lived by Christians: the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Activities are planned to reminds us of His unconditional love to mankind that He willingly suffered and underwent a gruesome way to die on the cross. That form of death, of course, was reserved for criminals in those days.

Of equal significance is His resurrection. The Holy Scripture says that Jesus, on the third day, rose from the dead.

This is the message for everybody: that despite our being dead to sin, Jesus has rescued us and has given us the hope of eternity. As recorded in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

May we truly experience His resurrection into our lives and live a fruitful and  abundant life.

Aloha and Mabuhay!
